Louie Vargas was born into a middle class working family in New York City. He began making jewelry at the age of 15 after a chance meeting with a famous jewelry designer. After many years of working for renown designers Louie developed a talent for working with metal wire. His talent turned into a passion and after honing his skills and developing his own style Louie decided it was time to step out on his own.

Louie began creating the Louie-Louie collection, the second Louie being the artist's oldest son, to fulfill his ambition to create jewelry in his style that would satisfy the desires of educated consumers. Currently Louie-Louie collections focus on different aspects of dramatic, bold jewelry. Each piece created reflects the many aspects of the designer himself and what he is all about....they are all one of a kind.
